Alexey is a Professor of Mathematics at York University with expertise in stochastic processes, mathematical finance, and numerical analysis. He completed his PhD at the University of Toronto in 2004, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at McMaster University (2004–2006) and a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor at the University of New Brunswick (2006–2008). His research in mathematical finance centers on designing realistic, tractable stochastic models and developing highly efficient numerical methods that support option pricing and risk management.

As Head of R&D at GM Advisors (from February 2026), Alexey provides technical, advisory, and operational support, including coordinating model development and validation.
